Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) June 19, 2012 - Home decorating experts are saying that the Victorian London and Gothic décor look is coming back. Finding this type of furniture or home décor can be extremely difficult, but a couple based out of a small town in Connecticut might be a saving grace to those who want to decorate their home in this type of décor.

"We noticed it was extremely difficult to find this type of home décor and furniture", said Tristan Summers, co-owner of 'Step Into Time Thrift Store'. "My wife and I had a dream of owning a thrift store, but that business can be competitive so we thought we would open a theme-inspired thrift store and the Victorian London Gothic décor was the first thing that came to mind."

Tristan Summers and his wife spend countless hours searching estate sales, garage sales, auctions and antique dealers to find real, authentic Gothic décor. It took three months of nationwide searching to find enough inventory for the Summers to start their Gothic-inspired thrift store.

"We thought the hardest part of opening a thrift store would be standing out from the competition", said Danni Summers. "Our experience was the opposite, we had the idea that made us stand out, but it was finding the specialized inventory to make it happen."

Home décor isn't the only thing 'Step Into Time Thrift Store' carries. This thrift store carries clothing, toys, and paintings that date back to the Gothic era. Anything that might be of interest people is available in this particular store.

'Step Into Time Thrift Store' has really rose to popularity, especially due to the recent interest in Gothic-inspired décor.

"We were doing alright as a business", explained Tristan Summers. "But now thanks to the new trend in Gothic-inspired décor we are doing great. There is a real demand for authentic Gothic merchandise. We don't sell any recreations or replicas, everything is authentic."

Some of the items from 'Step Into Time Thrift Store' was recently seen on a recent episode of the smash-hit TV show 'Supernatural'. Producers sent the prop department to the thrift store to purchase props and décor for a haunted house that was seen on one of the episodes.

"We were really surprised when we got the call that a Hollywood producer was going to feature some of our inventory in an episode", said Tristan Summers. "That doesn't happen to just any regular thrift store, so we're extremely proud of that."
