St. Cathrine's Acadmy Accepting Campers For Annual Leadership Camp

The one-week camp was created by St. Catherine's commandant, Colonel Barry Bizzell (USMC, retired), and focuses on teamwork and leadership skills for boys age 10-16.

Anaheim, HI (prHWY.com) June 21, 2012 - ANAHEIM, Calif., (June 21, 2012) - St. Catherine's Academy, a military boarding school in California, is preparing for its sixth annual Leadership Camp. The one-week camp was created by St. Catherine's commandant, Colonel Barry Bizzell (USMC, retired), and focuses on teamwork and leadership skills for boys age 10-16.
Leadership Camp will be held at Camp San Luis Obispo National Guard Base from August 12 - August 19. During the camp, students will participate in a variety of activities, including obstacle courses, land navigation training, and leadership reaction exercises. Students will also be engaged in presentations and discussions about leadership throughout the week.

"Leadership Camp immerses campers in a total leadership learning environment," said Colonel Bizzell. "We teach young men the fundamentals of leadership, discipline, and teamwork." Like programs at other California military boarding schools, Leadership Camp builds confidence and determination. "I learned that I can achieve anything if I work hard," said Osvaldo Jimenez, who attended the camp for the past two years.

St. Catherine's Academy, founded in 1889 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, is a military boarding school in California for boys in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. The school offers both day and boarding opportunities.
