Help for Heroes Encourage People to Support Armed Forces Day with Bunting and Flags
Encourage people to support armed forces day with bunting and flags.

Armed Forces Day, on Saturday 30 June, allows people to celebrate and honour British Servicemen and women. Many community and business events are taking place across the UK, but the main proceedings will be getting underway in Portsmouth, where there will be parades, bands and a display of military vessels. This is a brilliant opportunity for the public to show their support; it is all too easy to forget that thousands of brave individuals are risking their lives every day, for us.
Sadly, hundreds of military personnel are injured every year. Help for Heroes was created to make sure these individuals are given all the care they need to make a full recovery, both physical and mental. Some of those injured have suffered life-changing injuries. It is important to let our service men and women know they are valued and give them the resources to return to military or civilian life. The Help for Heroes shop has a wide range of items to help people 'Show Their Support in 2012'.
Many of these feature Union Jack designs, which are a big trend this year. They have all sorts of household items, accessories and clothing, from T-shirts and tea towels, to totes and mugs. If you are organising or attending an Armed Forces day event, they also have flags, bunting, balloons and wristbands. While lending your voice to a crowd will give members of our Armed Forces a terrific buzz on Armed Forces day, buying an item from Help the Heroes can help to change someone's life, forever.
