Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) June 22, 2012 - The old saying is true, a used car can hold many secrets. Many people often wonder what their cars would say if they could talk. The stories a used car could tell their current owners would likely be quite entertaining.

Just as the popular saying talks about if the walls of a home could talk, it would also be both interesting and eye opening if a used car could talk. In fact, if a used car could talk, one owner would know where their priceless collection of ancient coins were hidden before the car was sold. That information would have made someone very happy indeed.

As it happens, however, a used car cannot talk. This could very well explain why the owner of a particular used car did not know that their collection of ancient coins had accidentally gotten stuffed into the corner of the trunk of the car. It was not until the car had gone through a number of different other owners that this collection was discovered.

Dave Dolotte muses speculatively, "I remember the day I lost that coin collection. I had been in and out of the car a number of times, taking care of errands. These included moving items in and out of my car. It is during one of these periods of time that I was moving things around that I think my coin collection accidentally got stuffed into the corner of the trunk of my beloved used car."

In spite of being an avid coin collector, and taking a great deal of time combing through his car, Dave says he eventually gave up trying to look for the coins. After a number of months, he also eventually even forgot about the ancient coins. He attempted to replace the coins he had misplaced and was mostly successful.

Eventually, Dave's used car found itself in the hands of an avid collector of cars. Jake Piccolo had been looking for the same model of car that Dave had sold in order to complete the restoration of his favorite car. It was during this restoration process that Jake discovered the small bag of ancient coins stuffed in the corner of the car trunk.

"I couldn't believe it when I started to pull the trunk of the other car out so I could use the various pieces in the car I was rebuilding. I don't know very much about coins but even I could tell they were quite ancient. They were very different than any type of coins I had seen before," Jake states.
