Cross a Wire Wrong and Receive Alien Signals from Outer Space

Installing a home theater system is a lot harder than it looks.It was a surprise when he started to intercept alien communications from another planet through the speakers.

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) June 27, 2012 - Installing a home theater system is a lot harder than it looks. There are several different wires that need to be properly connected to each item, and then the speakers need to be placed just right to create the right sound environment. So it was no surprise when Todd Bellows installed his entertainment center and theater system wrong. It was a surprise when he started to intercept alien communications from another planet through the speakers.

"I really thought I had properly installed the home theater system", said Todd Bellows. "I followed the directions as it was written, but really I'm no good with electronic products. Those instructions could have been written in some foreign language for all I know, I had no idea what I was doing."

A week after Todd Bellows installed his home theater system he noticed that strange sounds could occasionally be heard through the speakers. These sounds appeared to be light whispers, but sometimes would sound like clicking or weird languages.

"When it first started happening I thought for sure it was some sort of trick someone was playing on me", said Bellows. "Like when you used to be able to hear people's phone conversations through a cordless phone, but I realized it wasn't a trick after it didn't stop."

In an effort to figure out what was happening Todd Bellows recorded the noises and put them on a YouTube video for people to watch. The YouTube video received 10,000 hits in one day.

"I thought maybe someone had some experience with these noises and could shed some light on them", explained Bellows. "I was extremely surprised to wake up to an email from NASA asking me to verify these noises."

An official at NASA was forwarded the link to the YouTube video. This particular official works in the alien and intergalactic division of NASA, and instantly recognized the sounds.

"I shot an email over to Mr. Bellows so I could explore these noises further", explained the official who wished to remain anonymous.

NASA officials traveled to Todd Bellows home to record the sounds for themselves.

"It appears that when Mr. Bellows was hooking up the Wi-Fi receiver to his home theater system he incorrectly crossed two cables", explained the official. "This caused him to be able to transmit some of the alien radio signals that they send to Earth occasionally. We are currently working to decrypt these messages, but that is all I can say at the moment."
