Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) June 28, 2012 - Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries on the planet. There are more millionaires and billionaires in this country than the United States, Canada, and Mexico combined. When people first glance at this country it appears as if much of that money is spent on lavish items and unnecessary purchases, but a new program announced by a group of millionaires may change things.

"We know that the United States is going through a tough time right now", said a spokesperson for the group of millionaires. "We wanted to do something nice to help out so we thought we would help the United States SSI disability fund a little."

The group of millionaires have pulled their money together and agreed to donate a total of $5 million to the United States disability funds. This money should be able to help those who have been recently disabled due to mental or physical illnesses that render them incapable of working.

"The government was having to decline hundreds of SSI disability claims every month because of the shortage of money", said a receptionist at a law firm that specializes in helping individuals get SSI disability. "This donated money should open the door to hundreds of people who could use this money. It sure is a relief."

In addition to helping out those that need money for SSI disability, the group of millionaires have decided to help out in other ways too. Approximately $3 million was sent to various food banks around the country to help restock their shelves, and another $1 million was sent to medical facilities to help cover medical bills that have been unpaid.

"America is suffering right now", said the spokesperson for the millionaires. "The money that these places are getting can really help improve people's quality of life. It will be interesting to see how it might change people's lives."

A food bank in Portland, Oregon that received some of the money was about two months away from shutting its doors.

"We were just unable to keep the shelves stocked", said Maggie Trader, the manager for the food shelter. "There are more and more people who rely upon us for food and that is causing us to have hundreds of empty shelves that we just don't have the money or donations to restock. This money will really help people."

The group of millionaires plan to travel to the United States and tour some of the food shelters they helped on a trip sometime in August.
