Kingwood, TX (prHWY.com) July 2, 2012 - Houston, TX - June 6, 2012 - ATX Global - A once-small-time business owner revealed this week how a handful of marketing skills made him millions of dollars richer.

Travis Jenkins said it took him only 18 months or less than two years to transform a nearly bankrupt company into a $27 M business. Today, the guy is worth over $70 M.

He recalled that he was stuck with the old contractor marketing principles that almost wiped down his business until he learned "the hard way" how easy it really was to make a sizeable profit from roofing and other simple home improvement services.

Changing Roles through Education Marketing

Half of the trick was to understand the psychology of prospects, he realized. "In short, people hate to be sold and are wary of contractors."

Jenkins' observation aligns with 2012 findings by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) which listed both roofing and general contractors as the most inquired about professionals. The construction and home improvement industry is also the third most complained about business in BBB surveys.

If one were to present himself not as a salesman but as a trusted advisor, then it would be easier for homeowners to warm to an expert and actually take an interest in hiring a contractor's services, he said.

Few owners are also aware of the importance of push and pull roofer contractor marketing, Jenkins added.

Conditioning Minds through Visitor Indoctrination

He stressed that many are too focused on pushing prospects to do something instead of devising ways to pull in the willing and financially capable customers.

Whether it's a simple advice or a solid service, there are certain means to condition people to trust a roofing company they've never heard of - even before an initial meeting is set, he hinted. "This aspect is taken care of by visitor indoctrination."

Though nothing like unethical brainwashing or propaganda, the process reportedly makes homeowners receptive to marketing messages and builds instant rapport between the client and the service provider.

Jenkins said that if done right, visitor indoctrination can build a long queue of interested homeowners. "Customers will chase after a business instead of the other way around."

Learning from the Master

Education marketing and visitor indoctrination are but half of the lot.

The complete details are available in a free report called the "2012 Business Owners Guide to an Extremely Successful and Profitable Multimillion Home Improvement Business in Any Economy."
