Badin Lake, No (prHWY.com) July 7, 2012 - [url=ttp://creativeallies.com>Global Creative</a> Director for TBWAChiatDay Jayanta Jenkins will be one of several luminaries participating in a new online art contest series called Ally Originals INSPIRE. Ally Originals INSPIRE is a new campaign from Creative Allies based around celebrating innovative inspiring and original personalities that are making an impact in the world. The curators have led lives of passion and creativity and are renowned in their industries for their unique style and influence.

Other celebrity curators for the series come from the worlds of design sports entertainment and other creative industries. Each guest curator will invite Creative Allies’ community of over 25000 artists and designers to submit original art and illustrations based on a theme of the curator’s choosing. Curators will then judge the contest and choose a selection of entries to become products like T-shirts limited-edition prints and iPhone cases that will benefit a non-profit of the curator’s choice. One overall winner will also be awarded $1500.

Jenkins is considered a prominent African American in the advertising industry and renowned for much of his work with leading brands. Jenkins worked at the Martin Agency and then as an art director at Wieden+Kennedy working on the Nike brand. He worked on notable campaigns for Nike ACG Nike tennis and most importantly Nike basketball. He was part of the team that helped globally launch brand Lebron James and the task of rebranding one of basketballs greatest athletes on the planet Kobe Bryant. As of the spring of 2008 he began working at TBWAChiatDay as an Associate Creative Director on Gatorade and is now the Global Creative Director for the brand. He most recently won several International Andy Awards with his team for work with Ice Cube and Anthony Keidis during the Pacific Standard Time campaign in Los Angeles.

Jenkins chose the theme for the contest as “What Makes You Move” to reflect on his love of [url=ttp://creativeallies.com>music and dance</a> and his work in sports. He has also chosen the non-profit Do Something to benefit from the design merchandise sold. Do Something is an organization that encourages young people to create their own vision for making a difference in their community and provides them with the resources and support needed.

Creative Allies is a music service and design community known for producing high-quality graphics and merchandise for rock stars and wanted to launch Ally Originals as a chance to create iconic art pieces that spanned several genres beyond just music and benefit meaningful charities. Creative Allies has contests for logo web t-shirt and print design. The idea is to support emerging artists by paying them for their work but also giving them some ownership when merchandise is sold – as well as building an impressive portfolio with big names.
