Shanghai, China (prHWY.com) July 11, 2012 - (CRI-report) - In 2011, with the implementation of China's photovoltaic electrovalence, the development of solar photovoltaic industry and the successive advancement of "12th Five-Year Planning", the scale of China's photovoltaic industry gradually increases and the internationalization degree is increasingly enhanced.

China's solar cells continue to maintain the advantages of large production and high performance price ratio and the international competitiveness is increasingly enhanced. It is expected that in 2012, the production capacity of China's solar cells will reach more than 40GW and the production will exceed 24GW, with an increase of more than 50% YOY, which will continue to occupy half of the proportion in the world's market. In addition, the production costs will decline further. For example, the processing costs of polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells and components are expected to fall to USD 19/kg, USD 0.18/W, USD 0.18/W and USD 0.25/W respectively. At that time, the component costs of integrated enterprises will reach USD 0.73/W, with a decrease of 27% YOY. Besides, the product quality will be even more stable and for most enterprises, the product warranty will be up to a decade and the power linear warranty will be up to 25 years. Due to limited absorptive capacity of the domestic market and the impact of foreign trade barriers, China's photovoltaic enterprises will accelerate the process of internationalization, and build factories in abroad or through mergers and acquisitions to speed up the localization development in overseas and enhance the competitive power and international level, growing to large international enterprises.

The production technologies of polysilicon obtain continuous improvement and the industry self-ability rapidly increases, which provide strong support for China's photovoltaic industry to keep global competitive advantages and is beneficial to the photovoltaic product trade war between China and the United States. In 2012, China's DWT polysilicon production line will be put into production; cold hydrogenated, efficient purification and other key technology links will be further improved, and the comprehensive utilization of by-products will further be enhanced. The comprehensive power consumption and the production costs of advanced enterprises will reach 80 kWh/kg and USD 19/kg which are equal to the international advanced level. Moreover, the production scale of polysilicon will be further expanded which is expected to completely get rid of the dependence on imported situation. In 2012, the number of polysilicon enterprises put into production will reach above 60; the production capacity will exceed more than 160,000 tons and the production will reach 130,000 tons, which can satisfy above 80% of the market demand, accounting for about 40% of the world market.

It is expected that in 2012, China's domestic photovoltaic market will remain upward development trend. On one hand, because the production capacity of China photovoltaic industry grows too fast and the products mainly depend on exports. it is urgent to accelerate the development of the domestic market to alleviate the problems of much high dependence on exports; on the other hand, in 2011, the domestic installation costs fall dramatically, in the photovoltaic market with fierce competition, component enterprises successively turned their attention to the downstream photovoltaic system. Accordingly, enterprises should actively respond to the relevant foreign trade protectionist measures to avoid international trade barriers, consolidate and develop the international market and enhance the industry security awareness; attach close attention to foreign policies and competition trends, seizing development opportunities in the emerging market.
