Ca, CT (prHWY.com) July 13, 2012 - The Software Association of Hong Kong, the world's leading industry player in the area of software downloads has recently announced a change in corporate name to match its growing impact on the international level. The new name of the industry is a clear manifestation of how big the software download industry has grown; taking into account the large number of computer based devices that require one software program or the other in order to run effectively. The new brand name of the Software Association of Hong Kong is the International Software Industry Association.

The brand is however, still committed to ensuring that only high level computer based programs are produced for use by consumers. The change in name has been necessitated by the fact that the association is looking on the broader side of positively influencing the world of Information Communication and Technology as compared to its more local objectives under the old brand name.

The International Software Industry Association will still keep on with its primary role of enforcing regulatory policies to ensure that the software industry remains highly competitive and fair for the benefit of all stake holders. The association also seeks to develop and protect the works of software developers by finding ways and means of making illegal software download a thing of the past. The rampant and unregulated activities of fraudsters in the software market have had a negative effect on the businesses of legitimate software developers. This has brought out the need for software developers to come together to form an effective force that will project the needs of all members in the association. This ensures that the collective interest of software developers are fought for and achieved.

Through the re-branding of the Software Association of Hong Kong into a new company with an international appeal, the organization is able to bring on board the experience and knowledge of multinational companies that are all involved in the production of how quality software programs. Through dialogue, local software developers will be able to interact with their counterparts from other nations in order to find solutions to common problems that may be hampering the success and growth of these local industry players.

Known as the Hong Kong International Software Contest, the program is primarily aimed at finding a software program that will most likely be an industry first and kick start a revolutionary product that will take the world of IT by storm. The first contest took place in 2011 and saw a large number of software developers bringing on board revolutionary products that need a bit of fine tuning in order to get a software program that will most likely get a large number of people hooked up to it.

The huge success associated with the first contest has led organizers to try and go beyond the success level of the first contest by vigorously campaigning and calling on all software developers from across the world to submit their developed programs. The second International Hong Kong Software Contest is duly opened and all software developers are entreated to submit an entry.
