Legal Job Interview
For those who are getting ready to seek out employment, or already have a legal job interview lined up, you have to make sure you are prepared if you want to land the position.

The first thing you are going to have to do to prepare for your legal job interview is do the research about the law offices you are applying with. Learn about the head solicitors, what kinds of cases the law office takes, what big cases the office has won, how long it has been in business, and any other important information to show you are interested in the postion, and are the right fit for that type of law firm.
As an applicant, when going in to your legal job interview you should also dress the part. Again, you have to consider the position you are applying for, and what kind of law office it is (laid back, big name clientele, etc). You should consider professional dress, but you do not want to overdress; so, doing some research on how to dress, and how to look the part, are some things to learn as well.
When applying for the position you also have to showcase your skills. From the accomplishments you have had in the legal field, even if you are recently coming out of school (show what clubs you were a part of, what awards you won, your class rank, etc). The better you are at showing how qualified you are, and how capable you are of doing the job, the better the chances are that you will get the job.
When going in for a legal job interview you also have to show you are better than the other applicants who are coming in for the position. So, you have to know how many people are applying, what criteria the law offices are looking for, what characteristics and skill sets they want to see in the applicants, and just show the interviewer that you are the very best individual for the position. The better you can sell yourself and your skills, the easier it is for you to be considered, and hopefully get hired to the position which you are applying for with the law offices.
There are several factors the law offices are going to look for when they are hiring new employees on board. As an applicant, you have to make sure you keep these things in mind, and putting forth the efforts and time to show the interviewer you are the right person for the job. The more time you take to prepare, and the more research you do, the more prepared you are going to appear at your legal job interview, and the better your chances of getting hired for the position.
