Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) July 19, 2012 - In response to recent algorithm changes by Google, AudienceBloom, a Seattle-based SEO agency, has announced new services aimed at helping affected businesses recover their organic search rankings.

On April 24th, 2012, search engine giant Google released an algorithm update which it characteristically named after a cute animal - Penguin. However, the algorithm roll-out had not-so-cute impacts on many businesses, causing thousands of small business websites to suddenly fall in the rankings, seeing their website traffic evaporate overnight.

"After 15 years of established best practices, Google literally 'changed its mind' on what types of links it considered to be strong signals of relevance," said Jayson DeMers, founder & CEO of AudienceBloom. "Suddenly, many businesses found themselves without the lifeblood of their online businesses - website traffic."

DeMers says AudienceBloom has analyzed myriad client data as well as website backlink profile audits to pinpoint exactly what Google's Penguin algorithm is looking for and has identified clear trends apparent with Penguin-affected websites.

"Assuming you're not engaging in some obvious onsite keyword-spamming, it really comes down to your inbound link profile," DeMers says. "There are certain key triggers that look unnatural to Google Penguin, and we can help website owners clean up those signals."

According to DeMers, these signals revolve around inbound link metrics such as anchor text, and the content on the page on which the link originates. "Anchor text is by far the most important signal that Google Penguin is looking for,"

DeMers says. "So the first thing we do is audit your inbound link profile and identify what your anchor text percentage looks like by plotting it all on a pie graph. After we identify anchor text abnormalities, we identify all the links including that anchor text that are probably contributing to your penalty. From there, it just takes hard work to gather contact information for each webmaster and reach out with a strategic link removal request."

In addition to link removal services, AudienceBloom offers link building services and social media marketing services. "Ideally, you should be doing link removal, new link building, and heavy social media in order to recover most quickly from these algorithm updates," DeMers says. "It takes time, effort, and money, but you've got to prove to Google that you don't belong in the dog house."

DeMers maintains a blog at http://www.audiencebloom.com/blog, to which he regularly publishes news and insights on Google Penguin, Google Panda, and other SEO-related news. A recent post highlights the 5 recovery facts you need to know about Google Penguin, which DeMers hopes will help webmasters identify and understand the cause of a Google Penguin penalty.
