To find out all about the awesome machines from US, Carkhana (CKN) scheduled an exclusive interview with Mr. Pankaj Dubey (PD), MD and Country Head, Polaris India. Seated comfortably in the conference room of the company's corporate office near Jasola Business Centre, following is the introduction to our exclusive interview.
Initial questions revolved around Polaris's introduction to India, its iconic history and range of products. Mr. Pankaj elaborated on the status of Polaris as World's No.1 off-road Vehicle company with 4 categories of products - snowmobiles, ATVs, Ranger Series and the RZR series. On questions about the ideal customer, he added that in India, the company is focusing on the adventure/leisure-oriented customers. Given the presence of celebrity endorsers for almost all products in India, Mr. Pankaj confirmed that Polaris is not planning to have one for its products and believe.
After questions on demand for Polaris products from the armed forces and electric vehicles, an interesting question on the possibility of Victory Motorcycles (part of Polaris Group) being launched in India was asked. To this, he replied "Victory will surely be launched in India".
