Mutagenesis OMICS Publication Group
The Journal of Carcinogenesis and Mutagenesis features the critical reviews focused on topics of significant interest to specialists in cancer biology and mutation research.

The Journal of Carcinogenesis & Mutagenesis is an international multi-disciplinary journal designed to publish original research on the evaluation and characterization of carcinogens or mutagens. The Journal under Open Access category overlays the action of carcinogens and mutagens on normal cells leads to mutations inactivating tumor suppressor genes exacerbates cancer, and evaluation of new drug targets for cancer therapy. The Journal provides the complete source of reliable information elucidating the science of mutation research and its applications, with particular emphasis on the relationship between mutation and disease.
Mutagenesis is a process by which the genetic information of an organism is changed in a stable manner, resulting in a mutation. It may occur spontaneously in nature, or as a result of exposure to mutagens. It can also be achieved experimentally using laboratory procedures. In nature mutagenesis can lead to cancer and various heritable diseases, but it is also the driving force of evolution. Mutagenesis as a science was developed based on work done by Hermann Muller, Charlotte Auerbach and J. M. Robson in the first half of the 20th century.
