SGLTA is proud to present the summer 2012 production of Hairspray.

Hairspray brings delight to the stage with its colorful cast and dramatic theatrics. The story draws audiences in as they're taken back to a time when the 50s were fading out. The transformation into the cooler era of the 60s in Baltimore is reenacted in true throwback style.
Paying homage to the great music of the 1960s, Hairspray lives up to its reputation. This award-winning musical is filled with dance scenes, toe-tapping 1960s music and great, colorful costumes. Audiences are captivated by this true story of a Baltimore teenager's quest to integrate a TV dance show.
The hit production is sponsored by Tuacahn Center for the Arts. The high-energy musical is brings comedy, drama and 1960s politics to the stage. Performances are every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at Tuacahn Amphitheater. Visitors can order Hairspray from SGLTA today.
Who is SGLTA?
St. George Lodging and Tourism Association (SGLTA) was formed to help promote tourism in St. George, Utah. The partnership of professionals includes local businesses, governmental agencies and the Utah Hotel and Lodging Association. They have come together to ensure that St. George's tourism industry is both exciting and safe. They aim to help St. George maintain its reputation as a premier travel destination.
SGLTA helps to bring all the St. George tourism needs together in one place. Their website provides information on local attractions, entertainment, restaurants and lodging in St. George.
SGLTA board president, Anthony White, does a great job of creating a network of businesses dedicated to tourism. Some of the network board members include: Windgate by Wyndham, Hampton Inn, Tuacahn Amphitheater, Kok Pelli Golf Club and Best Western.
Anthony White has also created a network of partners that bring even more to the St. George tourism industry. SGLTA has partnerships with businesses such as St. George Convention and Tourism Office, Dixie Center at St. George, Morris Murdock Travel, Huntsman World Senior Games, St. George Events, Bloomington Country Club, as well as Zion Factory Outlets.
This SGLTA network includes everything tourists need to experience all that St. George has to offer. There's a wide-range of lodging choices from economy to high-end hotel suites. Customers can create itineraries with a diverse list of attractions. St. George visitors have access to golf, sports, dining choices and on-stage entertainment.
Family Entertainment in St. George
SGLTA also aims to provide entertainment for children as well. The Tuacahn Amphitheater's production of Aladin takes families on a magical carpet ride to an Arabian oasis. This St. George stage performance of the critically-acclaimed Disney film, brings delight to its audience. It's a family comedy filled with enchanting characters and Disney classic music.
The story was adapted from the classic folktales of One Thousand and One Nights. Aladin takes the story of three wishes granted by the Genie in the bottle, and transforms it into on-stage adventures. The young, witty street dweller uses his magical wishes to try to win the heart of a beautiful princess.
The cast and crew of the Tuacahn Center for the Arts do an excellent job of bringing this Disney classic to St. George. Audiences are captivated with performances every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Tuacahn Amphitheater.
St. George is famous for its warm weather and outdoor atmosphere. Some of the great attractions include: Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Quail Creek State Park, Sand Hollow State Park, Red Cliffs Recreation Area, Silver Reef Ghost Town and many historical sites.
