Na, NE (prHWY.com) August 10, 2012 - Washington, DC - Six Feet High Productions, an urban theater and film production company based in New York and Washington, DC will premiere Landra V. Phillips' "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" a stage play that asks "What do you do when all of your hopes and dreams come crashing down, will you step out on FAITH, or will you turn back to the STREETS you worked so hard to pull yourself out of?" The play will have its Red Carpet Premiere at THE LIFE CENTER, in Camp Springs, Maryland Saturday, September 15, 2012. Phillips, Founder, CEO, Writer and Director wrote "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" to help tell the story of the struggles African American and Afro-Latino men face in urban environments and the impact that the struggles of male incarceration have on the black woman and the black family as a whole.

"As black men in this society have one of the highest incarceration rates, I realized that I wanted to write a play that dealt with these issues. What's more, as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. I knew that I must get involved and make a difference through the performing arts. Right now we are hard at work on the logistics and we have assembled a great cast. I am eager to share this unique script with audiences that I believe will have a lasting impact on them long after they leave the theater," stated Six Feet High Productions founder Phillips.

Landra V. Phillips' "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" stars Dennis Kellum of the award winning Sundance film "Don't Let Me Drown" and the R&B group Live In Eternity, Rabon Hutcherson II of the acclaimed soap web series "Anacostia" and Tremayne Norris of HBO's "VEEP", Channing B. Nash, Demaria Anissa and Landra V. Phillips. Woven into an unforgettable story, Landra V. Phillips' "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" is a stage play that offers a deep thought provoking message to the audience about the choices we all make in life.
