Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) August 13, 2012 - There has been a long standing debate going on in a small town in Iowa. The villagers who have owned land for hundreds of years are in the middle of a massive debate with a government space program.

The debate in regards to the land started several years ago when several villagers spotted what appears to be a UFO flying over the land. This UFO scouted out the area for several days and according to villager reports even landed briefly.

"I couldn't believe my eyes", said Greg Hill, an eyewitness to the UFO landing. "I saw this annoying thing flying around for days and then it just landed in a field a few acres away from mine. When I walked up the area was all misty so I couldn't get a good look but I swear it was an alien spaceship."

Numerous other villagers reported seeing the same space ship and having it land in nearby fields. No villagers were able to get a photo or video that depicted the situation, which caused many people to brush the incident aside. That was until the government tried to seize the land for the space program.

"I went around for years telling my story and having people believe I was crazy, which I am not", said Hill. "Then these big government folks come in a try to suck up my land because they think it will help them in their quest to approach life on other planets. Now everyone believes me."

The government program wishes to use the field for observational purposes and believes that there is substantial evidence that suggests the alien spaceship landing did in fact happen. However, the villagers are unwilling to give up the land. This has caused the two parties to seek the help of graduates at a recent online counseling school.

"We aren't going to come to an agreement naturally", said Hill. "The townsfolk don't want to sell the land and the government wants it all. I think these young lads and lasses can really help us find a middle ground that makes everyone happy."

Mediation between all parties involved will start early next month. It is hoped that the parties will come to a mutual agreement that will allow the government to observe the land without requiring the people to give it up forever.

"I am willing to let them lease the land", said Sandy Hollows. "I don't want to just sell it though. That land has been in my family for generations. I can't just sell it."
