Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) August 13, 2012 - Medical first responders are often faced with the difficult task of having to determine if certain bones within the body are broken or not. Determining if certain bones are broken immediately by first responders can make a world of difference when it comes to the type of medical care they receive and the amount of recovery time a person has to go through. A new invention created by Samuel H. Howling gives medical first responders and doctors the tools they need to diagnosis a broken bone immediately.

"Broken bones used to be only diagnosed with an x-ray machine", said Samuel H. Howling. "What my new invention does is removes the need for those huge cumbersome machines and replaces it with a tiny, portable x-ray machine that can be used by medical first responders and doctors when they first meet the patient."

Samuel H. Howling has created a tiny portable x-ray machine that is built into a pair of aluminum sunglasses. The tiny x-ray machine fits behind the ear like a Bluetooth and allows the sunglasses to automatically scan the part of the body that needs to be x-rayed. The results automatically show up on the screen and medical first responders and doctors can take appropriate action.

"There have been numerous incidents where medial first responders accidently move a patient and it just so happens that their back is slightly broken", explained Howling. "My invention can give the responders the tools they need to see that the back in broken and treat the patient with care."

The aluminum sunglasses will be available only to medical personnel and first responders. This is due to the ability for this type of x-ray machine to fall into the wrong hands.

"We need to limit the availability of these glasses to medical professionals", explained Howling. "The last thing we need is to have people walking around x-raying each other. Not only would that increase people's radiation exposure but it could lead to some major problems."

The special medical sunglasses are to be released to the medical industry following their official unveiling at the National Doctors Association Conference held in Tampa, Florida. Doctors all over the world will gather to see an official demonstration of the glasses and be able to sign up to receive these glasses as part of their medical supplies.

"I'm really excited for these glasses", said Dr. Page. "This is an indication that the medical field is moving in the right direction."
