Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) August 14, 2012 - Everyone loves to receive a basket filled with goodies. Wooden baskets are often filled with items and given for a variety of occasions, and while many people love to receive these gift baskets with open arms very few question what happens to all those baskets when people are done. Do the baskets end up in landfills all over the country? Do the baskets sit in attics collecting dust or is there another purpose for these baskets?

A creative genius based out of Seattle, Washington has come up with a brilliant idea for those unused wooden baskets. Use them to create an awe-inspiring art exhibit.

"I was going to estate sales and garage sales looking for inspiration for my next art exhibit", said Thomas Moore. "I wasn't seeing anything that really popped out at me until I walked into this one sale. There sitting on a folding table was a pile of baskets and they just seemed to glow with creative juices."

Thomas Moore purchased the 25 baskets that were available at the estate sale and immediately went to his studio to start work on his newest art exhibit. He spent six days a week, fourteen hours a day working in the studio creating new sculptures and items for his exhibit.

"Once I had the baskets in my hands it just seemed like a damn exploded and I had all these creative ideals just flowing out of me", said Moore. "Of course, I had to go and find more baskets because 25 just didn't cut it, but it is what sparked my exhibit."

The exhibit titled "One Basket One World" features over 50 different sculptures and paintings the use wooden baskets that are commonly used as part of men's gift baskets as the main focal point of the art. While most of the sculptures are done by Thomas Moore, some of the sculptures were created by local art students.

"I realized once I started down this creative avenue that others were also inspired", said Moore. "So I ran a little contest to see if some of the local art students could create something that would be great for my exhibit."

The "One Basket One World" exhibit has received numerous rave reviews from the pre-opening screening. Several members of the art community have had the opportunity to see the exhibit before the public and their reviews have been astounding.

"I couldn't believe how awe-inspiring this exhibit would be", said Tad Newman. "I thought it'd be little stick figures our something, but no it really is touching and a must-see for everyone."
