HP to Launch its tablet PC

Jon Rubinstein, HP senior vice president, who was associated with the Apple team previously who brought the world the iPod, disclosed the TouchPad in a pavilion on the
San Francisco shoreline within sight of the Golden Gate Bridge.
From this summer the 1.5-pound, 13.7mm-thick will go on sale. HP hasn't revealed any pricing details yet. The HP Veer, a mini version of the old Palm Pre smartphone, as well as a new, bigger brother, the Pre3 also coming later this year.
TouchPad will be the first tablet in a family of products based on a webOS software platform Palm began building from the ground up about five years ago. The TouchPad has no camera on the back panel but has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. The webOS 3.0 running tablet will have Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microUSB port for charging and for connecting the tablet to a PC.
