Celebrating Life Through Dance at UK Studio
More people are discovering that dancing isn't just about strutting your stuff in a nightclub, but about celebrating life and rejuvenating your spirit.
"To me, dance is the ultimate expression of emotion. While joy is a major part of it for me, yes it can also express sorrow, surprise, frustration and even questions. All of this is part of life and all of it should be celebrated and expressed," he said.
The Dance of Life Studio offers dancers the chance to learn a variety of styles from classic to modern. Mr. Ruggieri schedules a free evaluation appointment with prospective students to learn what they are interested in and what dance style may best suit them.
"Dance is a celebration. We approach it that way. Whether you just want to improve your abilities on the dance floor for yourself and a partner or you want to try a career of it, we'll help," he said.
Mr. Ruggieri said everyone has an innate ability to dance. Even toddlers, he pointed out, will dance in their own way to music. Those who believe they cannot dance are mistaken, he said.
"Enthusiasm matters. No one here is going to ridicule you. As long as you try and put forth the effort, we will help you. Your dance is and should be a personal part of you. We'll help you find that," he said.
The staff at Dance of Life is experienced in the many styles and all have solid backgrounds. Each of Mr. Ruggieri's assistants have been formally trained and have considerable on stage experience.
The studio offers part time and full time dance classes , private lessons, wedding dance instruction and team building exercises. Class levels range from beginner to master level.
