Staffordshire, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) August 28, 2012 - support. With their guidance and support, Two Chelsea football fans, Clive Osgood from the UK and Amanda Pesqueira from California, USA, have successfully summitted Mount Kilimanjaro. With their efforts, the duo has managed to raise over £9000 for four charities; Right to Play UK, Help a Capital Child, Save the Children and The International Association for Suicide Prevention.

Private Kilimanjaro specialises in arranging private and group Mt. Kilimanjaro climbs and Kilimanjaro Charity Challenges. The Kilimanjaro tour operator is one of the most trusted and reliable adventure outfits and is well known for organising custom made treks that perfectly suit the needs of their clients. Whether you want to climb Kilimanjaro for charity, as part of a group, or for a specific celebration such as a birthday or wedding anniversary, they can help you put all the necessary steps in place.

One of the climbers, Clive, stated "I had never done anything like this before and whilst doing the 3 Peaks Challenge decided to do something similar every year to raise money for charity. Of course, as a Chelsea supporter, I raised the blue flag at the top of all 3 of the mountains. In December 2011," continues Clive "Amanda came over from the USA and we met up in London. I had already decided that my next charity challenge was going to be Mount Kilimanjaro. Amanda was very excited by this idea and decided that she would like to join me to climb Africa's highest peak."

Jane Deakin of Private Kilimanjaro commented "Congratulations to the Clive and Amanda. Kilimanjaro is a tough mountain to climb due to the quick gain in altitude. Even though I am a Liverpool fan I have to applaud them for keeping the Blue Flag flying high on Kilimanjaro. We are delighted to have helped the climbers successfully complete their Kilimanjaro charity challenge."

The climbers completed the challenge by planting the Blue Chelsea flag on top of Mount Kilimanjaro, at 5895m in Tanzania. With the money that they managed to raise, they are hoping to create awareness about the causes that they support and provide financial aid to the wonderful work that the charities are undertaking.

The two climbers have been active supporters of charitable organizations. In 2011 Clive completed the 3 Peaks Challenge to raising over £2500 for Save the Children, which involved climbing the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland & Wales in 24 hours. Amanda who lives in the USA and co-founder of the Miss SW6 blog helped Clive raise awareness of his 3 Peaks Challenge and help him raise even more money for charity from Chelsea fans around the World.
