How to take care of black natural hair properly?
Hairstyles, on their days, can be a real stunner that can give an amazing image of yours, and at the same time, sink that image.

The first step in maintaining the curls is to stop using any tools that require heat for functioning. Ditching the flat irons, curling irons or the straightening machines is the most important step in maintaining the curls. These tools only add to your hair woes. They not only make the hair dry but they cause the hair ends to split and they look ugly.
Follow a shampoo + conditioner routine during every hair wash. Use shampoos that are free of sulphates which only cause more damage than repair. Deep conditioning once a week can make a great difference to the curls. Many salons offer such treatments and those who are pressed for time can visit such salons or use deep conditioning masks that are readily available in the market. Deep conditioning help in retaining the moisture content of the hair. This helps in reducing the frizz.
Avoid brushing or combing curls when the hair is dry. This will only add to the frizz and cause the hair to puff up. Using a wide toothed comb is the best way to keep the knots away. Another solution is to use a detangling spray. Never use a hair brush which is for normal hair, it will only cause more pain.
As far as possible avoid drying Natural Black hair using a towel. By rubbing the towel against the hair, friction is produced that causes frizz. Whenever in hurry, use a diffuser which comes as an attachment with the blow drier to dry hair. Never use a hair drier by itself, it will only make you look as if you just survived an electric shock. Lastly, do not hate curls. Curls can look elegant when taken care of in the right manner.
