The song "I'm Your Baby Tonight" by Domonique Jackson, is performed live at Club Afterlife in Scottsdale, AZ in a video on the website calimadeproductions.com.

This is the first video the young performer has made of his own work. His smooth voice carries the lyrics well with clear enunciation, making it easy to follow him.

"Some people say my voice ain't hard enough for rap. I tell those people listen before you judge me. My voice is how I make the music my own," he said.

Unlike some other performers, Jackson appears to be more interested in communicating with his audience than assaulting them with a sonic bombardment. The lady singing counterpoint to his rap shows he also has an excellent ear for selecting a featured performer.

"Music is my life. It is who I am. I live in the music because the music lives in me," he said. "It's got to come out. I share my life with you in my music and I hope my music lets so celebrate life with me."

Domonique Jackson is from Arizona but has lived in various places across the country. "I grew up dancing, singing and writing songs. I was always the kid in class who got in trouble for writing songs in my notebook while the teacher was talking," he said with a laugh. "I knew back then that I was destined to be a singer. I've always had my eyes on that prize."

The young artist has already sold out shows in his hometown of Phoenix and packs performance venues in other places. His favorite performers are on the Young Money label.

Mr. Jackson is quite aware of the attention focused on him and his last name because of his late superstar cousin, Michael Jackson.

"Michael, you know he opened doors for performers like me that were closed. He changed the face of music forever. He really was the King of Pop," Mr. Jackson said. "He left a legacy for everyone, not just me, but that legacy means more to me because he is my cousin. We are not going to let this die. The music, his music and how we share it, will live on in us."
