Atabay immigrated to the United States shortly after the Iranian revolution.

Her unique story has caught the eye of some of the nation's top media producers. Though Atabay's husband, Zia Atabay, operates National Iranian Television (NITV) United, Parvin Atabay's story is convincing enough to draw the attention of producers regardless.

She is the CEO of Arti Enterprises, Inc.; she is a member of the Encino Chamber of Commerce; she is a NITV United member; lastly, she is very involved in serving her community. Atabay's flexibility and willingness to work with her producers is certainly helpful for the producers, who often have to twist arms and persuade. "I'm very open to hearing their ideas," says Atabay. "I know a few things about media from NITV, but when it comes to a movie or a book, I still have a lot to learn."
