Weston super mare sand sculpture festival is a really worth a visit!
During then summer month thousands of holidaymakers visit the lovely west country of the UK and many take the time to visit Weston and may ever visit the sand sculptures while they are there.

If you haven't ever seen sand sculptures in real life you should head down to Weston-super-Mare seafront to see the 2012 sand sculpture festival which closes in mid-September. Weston-super-Mare has been running a sand sculpture exhibition for a number of years now and they have always been a big hit with visitors and locals alike. However, in my opinion this year's exhibition is the best so far!
Sand sculpting has been about for many years and has become a popular attraction wherever there is a festival or exhibition of this rare art. Skilled artists have learned the art of mixing the right combination of water and sand and then condensing the mixture into a consistency that is both easy to sculpt and work with and at the same time stands up to the elements of nature.
The end result of the weston super mare sand sculpture festival is a high-quality mixture of entertaining exhibits which is well worth a visit before the end of the 2012 season.
Unfortunately the exhibition was recently attacked and vandalised although the artists worked hard to repair the damage until the exhibits were fully repaired and reopened to the public.
The sand sculpture is just one of the many attractions that Weston super mare has to offer and you can discover more by visiting the website of Weston local pages.
Weston local pages is dedicated to the local community and businesses as well as being a tourist guide for visitors: http://www.weston-local-pages.co.uk/
