Noida, India (prHWY.com) September 7, 2012 - The general awareness section in different MBA entrance exams tests candidates' general knowledge and awareness of current affairs.

In a recent announcement, XLRI said XAT 2013 would have an additional 20-minute section on general awareness. The section is likely to have 20-30 questions. XAT is the latest exam in the block which will test aspirants' general knowledge. Other MBA entrances which traditionally have a general awareness section include IIFT entrance exam, SNAP, IRMA, CMAT and MAT. Now, only few exams -- CAT, NMAT and ATMA - are left that don't test general awareness.

A good manager should not only have the ability to solve complicated Quant problems and possess communication and reasoning skills, but he must also be aware of the latest developments in politics, business, economic and social environment which surround him. General awareness is the area which can prove your mettle as a fully aware student and citizen.
