Talking about the orphan children, the senior executive working with the organization said, "In India, there are more than 11mn abandoned children and a growing number of newborn babies are being dumped in cots placed outside orphanages/Adoption centers. Nearly 90% of those abandoned are girls whose poor young mothers cannot afford to keep them."

Volunteer in India works with the orphanages that are run by Charitable and Non- Government organizations. They send the team of volunteers to these orphanages, which lend a helping hand to orphanage staff in activities like keeping the premises & children clean. Volunteers interact with the orphans and conduct extra- curricular activities such as singing songs, playing games, drawing pictures, dancing and others.

Discussing further, the senior executive working with the organization said, "We encourage volunteers to talk to orphan girls about marriages, women issues, hygiene practices, being self-dependent and importance of education.
