Flight Simulator Genre Set to Take Flight
Thanks, in part, to a popular recent release which is generating quite a stir, the once-dominant Flight Simulator genre is ready to once again to fire up it's engines and take to the skies.

In recent months, however, the Flight Simulator genre has pulled itself out of a nose dive and is once again gaining altitude. On the back of an extraordinarily detailed and realistic game title being released, flight simulator aficionados like avid gamer and blogger, Darcy Stach, are once again savouring the rush that comes with climbing into the cockpit.
"The current generation of gamers have been force-feed the same, cookie-cutter type shooter titles for the past 5 - 6 years and they've just continually forked out their cash for the pleasure" said Stach.
"It probably didn't help the cause that flight simulator developers had either dropped the ball or had simply stopped putting in as much effort to their releases. There are been a new flight simulator released lately, though, which I consider to be the best pc flight simulator I've ever played."
"The genre has really turned a corner and, hopefully, this is the beginning of a revival. Current generation gamers deserve to know how incredible flight simulators can be and just what thye offer to gaming as a whole," Stach concluded.
The playing time associated with a regular flight simulator far eclipses the replay value of most, current 'triple A' console titles, according to industry experts' and therefore presents significantly more value-for-money to gamers in a market which is currently being saturated with high-cost, low difficulty games, particularly with consoles like the Nintendo Wii targeting a younger, less advanced age demographic.
In an economy where money is tight and all consumers are looking to get 'bang for their buck,' the revival of the Flight Simulator may have flown around just at the right time. A genre renown for boasts hundreds of aircraft, which a sky-full of tutorials and various airports available to master and choose from, these titles offer players literally hundreds of hours of playtime for, oftentimes, much less than they'd pay for a console title that, alternatively, offers around 5 - 10 hours of game play on average.
It's yet to be seen if the return to glory of the Flight Simulator will last, however, there's no denying that there are a large volume of gamers who are excited about its arrival back onto their PC monitors and are keen to pull on their pilots cap and take off once more!
