Carl Sandburg College is pleased to offer a variety of financial aid and scholarship options to help make college more affordable for students.

Galesburg, IL (prHWY.com) September 17, 2012 - Galesburg, Illinois: Carl Sandburg College is pleased to offer a variety of financial aid and scholarship options to help make college more affordable for students. Many students choose to forgo college because of the high cost of getting this type of education. When a college cares enough about its students to reach out with options to make going to college more affordable, they are providing a larger number of students with the ability to go further in life.

The financial aid program at Carl Sandburg College runs through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, requiring students to first fill out the FAFSA form, indicating attendance at Carl Sandburg College. Once the college receives the information from the government regarding the status of the student's application, a financial aid package will be determined and presented to the student.

Students can also take advantage of the scholarships available from Carl Sandburg College directly. These scholarships are funded by the Carl Sandburg College Foundation, providing a range of scholarships for a variety of students. To qualify, all students must have a GPA of at least a 2.0 and typically need to be a full-time student. This foundation provides funding for a number of scholarships. Students who are interested in applying for any of the college's scholarships must do so starting on December 1 for the following school year.
