Oadby Owls Junior football club plan to conquer Europe.

Oadby Owls Junior football club have just signed up for a football tour to Barcelona, Spain in May 2013. The under 9 section of the Leicester based club will take three teams to represent England by playing against Spanish opposition throughout a 4 night 5 day stay in the holiday resort of Salou, school sports tour made this all possible.
Having been one of the strongest teams in the Leicester league for the past few seasons the managers of the U9 section want to test their players against teams from the current World and European champions. The group of around 60-80 people including players, parents, siblings and coaches will travel to Salou at the end of May 2013 and will compete against foreign opposition in a total of 9 matches.
the group will stay at the 3* CYE Holiday Centre in Salou only 200 meters from the beach ensuring they have a holiday feel to their tour. Staying on a half board basis, with spacious rooms and a nice pool area the hotel is the ideal location for the group to relax between their pre-planned itinerary.
As well as competing against local Spanish opposition in friendly matches the itinerary also includes a shopping and sightseeing trip to the centre of Barcelona, a stadium tour of the Camp Nou (home to FC Barcelona) and a day entrance to the Port Aventura theme park.
The whole trip has been organised by Football Tours international (FTI), they are a tour company based in Leeds and have worked closely with the managers of the group to ensure the players will have a tour to remember. FTI have arranged everything including the accommodation, bus transfers, entrance to Camp Nou, private bus for the tour of Barcelona, entrance to theme park, friendly matches against Spanish opposition and flights.
FTI director James Knowles said "we have worked closely with the Oadby Owls coaching staff to tailor the tour so they are happy with the itinerary. At FTI we realise that each team wants different things from their tour, some want a structured itinerary and to play in an International Tournament, where as some would prefer a more holiday feel with a few friendly matches throw in. The Oadby Owls group wanted the tour to have a holiday feel but at the same time wanted to play against quality opposition to test their talented youngsters, we at FTI feel we have provided them with the ideal tour that meets the coaches requests and are looking forward to sharing this experience with them".
