Dun stall, FL (prHWY.com) September 18, 2012 - United Kingdom, 18th September 2012 - A group of people calling themselves 'Blake's Mountain Goats' is all set to climb the Kilimanjaro Mountain to raise funds for supporting the treatment of their friend's child- Blake McMillan, who is just a few months old and is suffering from an extremely rare chromosome disorder. Private Kilimanjaro will be organising the trek for them.

One of the world leaders in organising charity Kilimanjaro hike expeditions- Private Kilimanjaro has been organising successful treks to the Mountain since its inception in the year 2004. With the help of their expert team of tour guides and some of the best trekking logistics and infrastructure in the industry, they are also one of the best and most popular operators of Mount Kilimanjaro climbing expeditions for individual as well as corporate clients.

The child Blake, for whom this expedition has been undertaken, has a very rare chromosome disorder, MECP2 Duplication Syndrome, which only affects approximately 150 people worldwide, predominantly males. He faces a tough life and will undoubtedly spend a lot of time in hospital. A Trust Fund has been set up for those people who want to do something to help make his life as easy as possible. This may include therapies and equipment. The group climbing Kilimanjaro will be trying to reach the summit and raise about £5000 for the same.

Steve Martin, one of the climbers of the group, explains "Basically, I climbed Kilimanjaro on the Machame route last October and reached the summit and could not get it out of my mind for 6 months. This year a friend had a new baby who was born suffering from a very rare disease. His name Blake McMillan, and I decided to kick off their trust fund by returning to KILI and I asked a few friends to join me who had NEVER climbed anything before. We are calling ourselves 'Blake's Mountain Goats' because first we are doing this for Blake, and of course we will have to 'climb like goats'!"

"We were devastated when we heard about this beautiful boy's diagnosis, but are determined to do our absolute best to help in his treatment and support." said Jane Deakin, owner of Private Kilimanjaro. "On behalf of Private Kilimanjaro, I would also like to make a personal appeal to anyone who might want to pitch in and help this baby boy. His parents have set up a facebook page to inform every one of any events for fundraising. The same may be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/groups/438631052836575/. Any Charity donations can be made directly to blakestrust@hotmail@hotmail.co.uk. Here's hoping we all do our bit perfectly in making this Kilimanjaro climb successful."
