Orland Park, IL (prHWY.com) September 18, 2012 - In this presidential election year, the campaigns are getting down and dirty. How did all of this campaign craziness get started? Believe it or not, on the whole, they have actually gotten more civil over the years.

Don't believe it? Professional speaker Terry Lynch of HFK Presents has developed a program that speaks to the campaign tactics of elections throughout our nation's history.

As owners of Histories for Kids, Inc. and HFK Presents for over ten years, Lynch and his wife Laura have developed numerous programs to educate young and old about our nation's history. It's not just dry and dusty names and dates. History is a dynamic discipline that holds a mirror up to the people and culture of the United States.

The latest offering from HFK Presents is called Mudslinging, Muckraking and Apple Pie: Presidential Campaigns, the Great American Pastime.

In this program, audience members will hear the stories of the mudslinging and muckraking of the:

Jefferson v. Adams campaign of 1800
Jackson v. Adams of 1828
Lincoln v. Douglas of 1860
and Grant v. ANYONE!

Also covered in this program is the 1912 campaign when Teddy Roosevelt decided to start his OWN political party.

This program is designed for teenage and adult audiences. If you would like to have Terry speak to your high school, college or organization, contact HFK Presents.
