Skateboard Legend Stevie "Dread" Snyder to Attend the Jaxon Film Fest
Hot on the release of Wing Ko's documentary The Brotherhood: Chicago, skateboard legend Stevie "Dread" Snyder, originally from Albion

Says festival director David W. King, "We are excited that our festival is attracting the names that will be attending our festival this year. Stevie Dread is truly a legend in skateboarding. It is exciting that we are showing Wing Ko's documentary The Brotherhood: Chicago in which Dread is featured; and we are privileged Stevie Dread is attending. We are honored as well that we may be the first to display his new line of boards."
Dread will be present after the documentary for a Q & A, autograph signing, possible skateboard demonstration and a display of his latest skateboard line which is to go public September 15.
The Brotherhood: Chicago documents Dread', Jesse Neuhaus, and Eric Murphy, sponsored riders for the famed Alva Skateboards at a time when very few Midwestern skaters got recognition by industry-leading West Coast companies. More than a film about the love of skateboarding, The Brotherhood: Chicago is about pursuing one's passion as life happens.
Moving to Chicago in 1984 to attend the Art Institute of Chicago, Dread's skating skills were quickly recognized once he landed in the Windy City. He was sponsored by Alva Skateboards. He has lived in Chicago ever since.
