Michigan Creative Film Alliance's Beauty Queen Among Selected Films to Show at Jaxon Film Fest September 29th
A collaborative effort of the Michigan Creative Film Alliance will shine as one of many selected films to show at the Jaxon Film Fest, September 29th, Jackson, Michigan.

The story of a young woman who's competing in a beauty pageant and coming to terms with alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. the crew of "Beauty Queen," was composed of students from the alliance, which was formed at the height of the old Michigan film incentives to advance the goal of keeping and attracting young filmmaking talent.
Produced by U-M's Jacqueline Wilton and written by U-M grad Kelci Parker, who has alopecia, "Beauty Queen" has previously shown at the Detroit Institute of Arts and was screened at the Traverse City Film Festival.
