There is just something about the innocence of youth that brings out wild, crazy and sometimes adorable ideas, which is why book publisher Print It Press wants to get children's ideas down in writing.

Print It Press is launching a nationwide contest to see what creative, fun and scary Halloween costume ideas children can come up with. The winning ideas will be printed in a 200 page costume book titled "Best Halloween Costume Ideas in a Kids World".

"Children are just so adorable and fun", said Tammy Freedom, editor at Print It Press. "I want to take some of their amazing ideas for Halloween costumes and release them to the world so they can have fun with it."

Print It Press is using a nationwide Halloween tour to help capture all the children's ideas. The Halloween tour will feature fun games children can play, costume contests, and storytelling. There will even be a fun, safe trick-or- treating event at the end of each tour date.

"The idea is to get children in the Halloween spirit", said Freedom. "We want them thinking about their costumes, what ideas they might have and then asking them to share. So far the tour has been a success."

The Halloween tour has so far generated over a thousand Halloween costume ideas from children in over 10 states. The tour is schedule to continue for at least five months. When the tour finishes, the publisher estimates that there could be over a million costume ideas. Unfortunately, only 200 will make the final book cut.

"We have some of the most amazing and creative children coming to this event", said Freedom. "We had kids who gave the traditional princess, pirate and superhero costume ideas, but some were really creative. We had a little girl want to dress up as a pen and notebook with big huge eyes. Another girl wanted to use her little dog as a dragon and dress up as a golden egg. Sort of like the goose who laid the golden egg."

The final printed book will not only feature Halloween costume ideas, but will teach parents how to make the costumes. The book is scheduled to be released next August. All children who have ideas that will be used will be eligible to win a $25,000 college scholarship. Those that don't win will receive a $5,000 college scholarship.
