Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) October 11, 2012 - Thrift store shopping has developed a small cult following over the years. People are able to find amazing deals on anything ranging from books and clothing to CDs/DVDs and furniture. The only problem with thrift store shopping is that sometimes to get the good deals people have to stand in line for hours before the store opens, but technology may change that.

Marie Rose Secondhand Goods has decided to take its unique thrift store into the wild world of the Internet. Marie Rose, the owner of the thrift store, has decided to set up an online shop that will feature some of the best picks from latest arrival of goods.

"I used to have 20 to 30 people standing in front of my store waiting for it to open", said Marie Rose. "There could be even more if people got wind of a huge clothing or book donation the store received. I figured with the ability to use the Internet to sell lots of goods and items, I should use it to my advantage."

Marie Rose set up a small thrift store website. It features all the same
categories a shopper in the regular store will find. There is a section for books, furniture, clothing and odd items. While it might seem as if the place is the same, it does have one difference - the timing of items placed on the shelves.

"I decided that I would showcase some of the newest arrivals of items on the website", said Marie Rose. "I sometimes take pictures of just one or two items, or sometimes I'll show a picture of the entire lot and let people scan the picture for the good stuff. It's a great way to generate interest in the store."

The online website is currently not able to take orders for items. This means that people who wish to purchase items will have to directly contact the store or head in in-person to purchase the items.

"I received a call from a lady almost 1,400 miles away", said Marie Rose. "She saw I had a rare book in the pile of donated goods and wanted to purchase it. I made arrangements with her to have the item shipped. I was amazed that my small thrift store reached that far. It really is amazing."

Marie Rose plans on offering an online shop by the end of next year. This shop would allow people to make actual purchases online instead of having to come directly into the store.
