New York City, NY (prHWY.com) October 13, 2012 - Dretonio is a fast rising singer, songwriter and lyricist slowly making his way towards stardom and becoming a youth icon. Son of songwriter singer Sinclair, Dretonio started his liking for music since an early age. Dretonio used to sing his father's songs and that of Michael Jackson's along with his singer sister, Gina Marie. His professional career started with showcases and talent shows around London that helped him to gain a lot of confidence. At a mere age of eleven he started a liking towards MC'ing after listening to Rap songs most part of the day. His first exposure to a huge number of audiences took place in Stanmore College where he mesmerized the crowd with his performance.

At the age of fifteen, Dretonio wrote his first song and many believe that opened doors of creativity and inspiration in him. He joined Uxbridge College to study Information Technology and Business and along with that got admission to CMS Music studying Sound Engineering. Being always very fond of the music industry he later joined the Music Business and Management Course at ECAB at Eastside Records. Working as an artist and co-host at the UKFlow.tv gave him the much needed exposure to urban UK scene. After that, Dretonio started performing at various London events and well known venues alongside artists like Kof (urbeatz), Twissman, Nutty P, Aggro Santos and lots more.

Dretonio is quite popular in the media circle and have been interviewed with his music played by several media sources like BBC1xtra, BBC Radio Bristol and Somerset, Ujima Radio 98 Fm, Platinum 87.5 Fm, Radio Cardiff 98.7 Fm, Freeze 92.7 Fm and many more. The song 'Now Everybody Stand in Line' released on May, 2012 earned him huge popularity with appearances on ITV News and national newspapers including London Evening Standard, The Independent among others. He is definitely one of the hottest stars of the year 2012 having performed at major festivals including Beach Break Live, Breakin'out festival, Nottinghill Carnival and has supported Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk aka Chip, Example, Wretch 32, Skepta, Next, Lloyd, Bobby V among others. His determination and commitment helped him to solidify his position in the UK urban scene. Dretonio was nominated for the 'Best Male Act' BEFFTA awards 2011 among some of the great names like Sway, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder and others. Dretonio was also among the top ten finalists in the Adidas 'Take To The Stage' competition and Urban Music Crown Awards 2010 and 2011.

Over the last few years Dretonio has already released five mixtapes, an EP and presently more focused on the official debut album known as 'Eye of the Storm' which includes his debut single 'Rock the World' where he shows his full passion for rap music fused with electronic pop-dance beats. Apart from being dedicated towards his music career, Dretonio also takes out time for producing and writing for other artists, working with Blaqbone records to develop new artists, event management, creating new merchandise brand and lots of other activities.
