The site features a media-driven, open format with a gallery of poll-like questions starting right on the homepage, most of which contain pictures, video and blurbs explaining why they were posted and referencing the original source(s).
In the beginning AskEachOther was based more around comments, but as it grew in popularity it quickly evolved into a two-option voting format, then its current existing multi-option format.

In addition to being the world's #1 social advice site, AEO has also established quite a following of readers for their Blog sections (Tech, Dating and Sports) and openly welcomes guest bloggers offering more exposure and even encouraging self-promotion and "shameless" plugging.
