Pamela Chiesi Opposes Using Animals for Medical Research
Pamela Chiesi strongly opposes use of animals for medical research by humans; instead they should be guardians protecting these helpless poor animals who are unable to speak for themselves.

The Animal Welfare Act has set certain minimum requirements for the humane treatment of non-human animals in laboratories and other settings, but in fact is very ineffective. Pamela Chiesi asks the act to implement the laws more strictly and make sure that non-animal alternatives are considered. Just as immoral research on humans cannot be acceptable by a benefit to humanity at large, the same holds true for animal experimentation.
Pamela Mercedes Chiesi was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1964. She was raised the oldest of three children in an upper-middle class family and attended public schools in Massapequa, Long Island and later Binghamton, New York where she excelled scholastically and professionally. She currently lives in New York City and supports a wide range of regional animal welfare causes.
