Philadelphia, PA (prHWY.com) October 20, 2012 - With the holiday season approaching, there will be quite a number of children's books being released to celebrate the season. The typical focus for most of the books offered is the focus on the events leading up to Christmas Day, usually a potential conflict or situation that is ultimately resolved when that magical day arrives.

However, one of the more interesting releases is from Elizabeth Rooks who has written "Where Does Santa Go on Vacation after Christmas?" Unlike most children's books that focus on the time leading up to Christmas, Elizabeth Rooks presents a situation that children often wonder about after they have opened their presents on Christmas Day.

As with her first work, "Rayne: Queen Water Supplier of the World", Elizabeth Rooks new effort also sparks the imagination of children and treats them with great respect and dignity. After all, it is a rather logical question that is posed, what does Santa do after working all night on Christmas Eve to bring presents to all the boys and girls around the world?

The focus of the book is on Tyler, a young boy who wonders where Santa goes on vacation after Christmas. Using his imagination, Tyler sees Santa going to faraway places like Japan and learning to say "Hello" in the Japanese language, one that is much different than his own. Another stop is Hawaii where Santa meets the people that live on these islands.

One of the more interesting aspects of this book is the respect for other cultures that is present. Done in a subtle, yet powerful way, Elizabeth Rooks has managed to bring a multi-cultural view of the world to young children in this work without it seeming forced or unnatural. It's apparent that Elizabeth Rooks is bringing her own experiences as a child into this book

Elizabeth Rooks came to the United States from her birthplace in Haiti at the age of seven. She has earned a Master's Degree in Children's Literacy and currently teaches children of special needs in Edison, New Jersey. Her life experiences, which include being a cancer survivor have certainly infused this work with a unique look into her own experience as a child coming to a different world than the one she grew up. Plus, her career as a teacher of children with special need has also given her the communication skills of reaching small children which can be found in her book as well.

This effort speaks directly to the imagination of children and is certainly one of the most interesting children's books that will be coming out this year.

Like her previous book, "Rayne Queen Water Supplier of the World" Elizabeth Rooks has stepped forward with a unique work that taps into the imagination of children and their own logic in wondering where Santa goes after his work on Christmas is done.

The book can be ordered from her website http://www.elizabethrooks.com/where-does-santa-go-on-vacation-after-christmas/ and she also has a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ElizabethRooks1 or her Twitter page at https://twitter.com/Elizabeth_Rooks where she provides updates about her future work and activities.
