The legislation is confined to dispersion of the plant in the region of California. According to the DEA, fourteen states have ordained regulative controls for intake of Salvia. Currently, Salvia is banned for minors in California. Irrespective of all usage, the irresponsible usage of the plant is prohibited. Public endangerment, reckless driving and public intoxication etc are some of the already existing laws which can be enforced on the legally allowed Salvia users, if found culprit.
