SANJEEVANI: IMT Ghaziabad shows you how to make a difference with the life in your veins!

On 9th October‚201' the 'Make a Difference Foundation' club ofIMT Ghaziabadproved that "Blood transcends all boundaries" by organising 'SANJEEVANI - the blood donation camp'.

Ghaziabad, India (prHWY.com) October 26, 2012 - On 9th October‚201' the 'Make a Difference Foundation' club ofIMT Ghaziabadproved that "Blood transcends all boundaries" by organising 'SANJEEVANI - the blood donation camp'. This bi -annual event‚held in association with Rotary Blood Bank‚ New Delhi saw a regular day in the life of an IMTian turn into a mission to donate life-giving drops. The inaugural lamp was lit by two distinguished professors of the institution‚ Dr. Subhajit Bhattacharya and Dr. Shalini Rahul Tiwari. In his inaugural speech‚ Dr. Bhattacharya laid emphasis on how such initiatives by the students of IMT showcase the way the future leaders want to contribute not only to the corporate world but also to society at large. Dr. Tiwari's laudatory words encouraged the students and showed his appreciation for their good work.

2 doctors and 10 medical staff members from the Rotary Blood bank expertly handled the camp and helped people navigate through the check-up procedure. People could be seen coming in and waiting for their turn. Prior knowledge was spread and awareness was created to remove the myths and apprehensions about blood donation‚ which made it an easy experience for all.

Piyush Gupta‚ PGDM-I‚became the first donor and as time rolled on‚ a massive number of hundred and eighty students turned up to donate blood. The clock ticked on‚ but the flow of donors never thinned...

MADF members and volunteers for the event went about making the process well-organised and raising awareness among people about why this was a unique experience. The Mess Committee and the support staff of IMT Ghaziabad shouldered the responsibility equally‚ and ensured that all those who came left with a steady step and satisfaction for making a difference to somebody‚ somewhere.

All in all‚ it was a day when IMT Ghaziabad stood up to support an effort of the heart. Three cheers to the spirit of giving‚ and May it continue on its path to making a difference to society.
