BRISTOL, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) October 30, 2012 - The department of health started the Stoptober campaign to encourage people to stop smoking. The aim is to make people stop smoking for 28 days. It is believed that those managing to achieve this are most likely to leave smoking.

The Department of Health has put the reigns of this noble goal into the hands of a marketing agency in Bristol called EMO. EMO has already worked with bigwig clientele the likes of Jaguar, Toyota and Tesco. The specialty of EMO is that it allows the companies and their local networks get closer to their target audience.

This has been elemental in the success of the 28 day campaign in the UK to get smokers to quit for the month of October. EMO director of planning Martin Newnham, and lead in the Stoptober campaign for the agency, said: "The fact that Government departments such as the Department of Health are coming to Bristol and to EMO is testament to our expertise as a creative marketing agency, but also to the growing reputation of Bristol and the South West as a center of excellence for creative industries. "

EMO is a story in a number of companies in the industries that recognized the advantage in moving into Bristol.

As Martin Newnham says: "The London-centric nature of the industry has shifted considerably in recent years, as brands and organizations recognize the talent that exists outside the capital."

EMO was selected to provide local marketing movement in key cities throughout the UK.
