SCT Institute of Technology, Bangalore Announces Scholarships for Meritorious Students

SCT Institute of Technology, a Bangalore base engineering college has honored 15 meritorious students with president scholarship for their academic excellence.

Bangalore, India (prHWY.com) October 30, 2012 - Shanthi Charitable Trust, the governing body of SCT Institute of Technology, Bangalore has instituted merit scholarships to deserving engineering students of 1st, 2nd &3rd year in each academic year. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of performance at University examinations of both odd and even semesters of an academic year. The only condition being, that a student should have cleared all papers of each semester in the first attempt and should have scored at least 75% marks on aggregate of both semesters. The scholarship known as "President's Scholarship, SCTIT" will be awarded in three categories.

Category 'A' - A cash grant of Rs.15,000/- to those students who score an overall aggregate of 85% or more and a pass in all subjects of each semester.
Category 'B' - A cash grant of Rs.10,000/- to those students who score an overall aggregate of 80% or above but below 85% and a pass in all subjects of each semester.
Category 'C' - A cash grant of Rs.5,000/- to those students who score an overall aggregate of 75% or above but below 80% and a pass in all subjects of each semester.

For the academic year 2011-12, a total of 16 students have been selected for the scholarship on the above basis. There are six from Electronics & Communication Engineering Branch, five from Aeronautical Engineering Branch, one from Mechanical Engineering Branch, two from Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch and two from Masters in Computer Applications dept.
