Edinburgh, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) October 31, 2012 - The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) helps young people with acquired brain injury, their families and the professionals who support them. This year, they are celebrating their 21st birthday and we're proud that they are our Charity of the Year. Throughout 2012, our staff have supported CBIT in a variety of ways, from raising money, supporting events, providing legal services to highlighting the challenges young people with brain injuries face to audiences and professionals across Scotland.

We recently hosted and supported the charity's first Scotland-specific legal seminar, which provided a range of practical training and advice for solicitors working in brain injury in Scotland. Digby Brown's offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Inverness are all listed in Child Brain Injury Trust's Legal Services Directory

This month.. we're helping the charity pay tribute to some very special people and some special people of our own are going above and beyond to raise funds to support CBIT's work....

National Awards Lunch - On Friday 19th October, Children and families affected by brain injury will join CBIT volunteers, steering group members and professionals working in the field of brain injury to recognise the very special contribution that some individuals and families have made.

The lunch will be held in the fantastic surroundings of Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens.

Forth Rail Bridge Abseil - Boldly going where none of their colleagues have gone before, 21 Digby Brown staff, family and friends will be abseiling from the iconic Forth Rail Bridge on Sunday October 21st to raise thousands of pounds for CBIT.

All of those taking part are excited (if a little nervous!) about the abseil and know they supporting a very worthwhile cause. You can support the team using their Virgin Money Giving page.

Every penny raised will help children with acquired brain injuries and their families across Scotland and will be really appreciated by all those involved.

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
