Mastering Contracts and Dispute resolution to be covered in IMT Ghaziabad 's MDP

Ghaziabad, India (prHWY.com) October 31, 2012 - Drafting commercial contracts‚ dispute resolution and arbitration will be the subjects of an upcoming Management Development Programme (MDP) being conducted by Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad.

Aimed at entrepreneurs‚ managers‚ professionals and consultants from the legal and management domains‚ and academicians and teachers from science and entrepreneurship institutes‚ the three-day programme will run from the 28th - 30th of November at the IMT Ghaziabad campus. With contracts being at the heart of all business‚ the MDP will train participants in the drafting of contracts and resolution of disputes through arbitration‚ centering specifically on clarifying the provisions of arbitration and how they apply to commercial contracts.

One session will be dedicated to including intellectual property as part of standard contracts‚ technology transfer agreements and licensing agreements‚ while other topics of contract drafting will include: parties to the contract‚ definitions and interpretations‚ description of subject matter‚ contract duration‚ deadlines and performance. Under the direction of programme director‚ Dr. Rashmi Kumar Aggarwal (PhD in medical patent law‚ LLM in international law‚ LLB and BSc)‚ the sessions will be conducted by IMT-Ghaziabad faculty and industry experts such as lawyers‚ and arbitration and intellectual property consultants. The MDP will involve interactive sessions‚ case analyses‚ in-class exercises and assignments. A registration fee of Rs. 30‚000 will include the academic fee‚ programme kit‚ and board and lodging‚ with the last day for registration being the 22nd of November.

This MDP is just one of several being planned by IMT Ghaziabad's Executive Learning Development (ELD) department which is under the direction of Professor Ajay Singh‚ who says‚ "Organisations cannot always cope with executive training and learning requirements internally. That's where expert training by leading management institutions like IMT Ghaziabad comes in." In today's ever-changing world of business‚ executives must periodically upgrade their skills. The frequency depends on company needs. Nevertheless‚ it is recommended that every executive be allowed to dedicate a minimum of three to five days- if not longer -to upgrade his or her skills‚ every year.
