Bangkok, Thailand (prHWY.com) November 12, 2012 - Chlorella is a single celled algae that grows in fresh water ponds and lakes. Its colour is a brilliant rich green, owing to its high quantity of chlorophyll. Fossil research has shown this ancient superfoods origin to be 3 billion years ago! This makes it one of the initial foods on planet Earth.

The name Chlorella is interpreted from the Greek chloros, meaning green, and the Latin diminutive suffix ella, meaning tiny.

The subsequent health advantages of chlorella vulgaris are those that have been backed up by clinical studies and research. In the world of nutrition there is a large amount of health and nutrition statements that may or may not be true. It was my intent to look through the various studies and pull out the positive aspects of chlorella vulgaris that looked the most validated.

It is an appealing possible food resource because it is high in protein and other essential nutrients; when dried, it is about 46% protein, 20% fat, 20% carbohydrate, 4% fibre, and 10% minerals, and vitamins. Bulk-production methods are now being used to cultivate it in large artificial circular ponds. It is also plentiful in calories, fat, and vitamins.

On account of its unique ability to bind with mercury, lead, and cadmium, the alga (chlorella vulgaris) has become increasing popular as a heavy metal "detoxifier". Research show that chlorella (vulgaris etc.) displays a superior ability to (safely) draw these harmful metals from the gut and digestive tract (where they tend to build up). Like blue-green algae, clinical studies on Chlorella suggest effects including polychlorinated dibenzodioxins detoxification in human beings, and animals, restorative healing from radiation exposure in animals, and the capability to lower high blood pressure, lower serum cholesterol levels, hasten wound healing, and improve immune functions in human beings.

Broken cell wall chlorella often comes as a dried powder. This can be easily mixed into smoothies, fruit juices, salad dressings, and other dishes. If you do not enjoy the flavor of chlorella in your meals then you can also buy it as chlorella capsules. This may be the easiest way to make sure to consume it every day and enjoy the various chlorella benefits.

It is believed that in excess of 7 million people in Japan take Chlorella everyday and proves it to be a highly powerful nutritional "all-in-one-formula" whole food for a continuously increasing quantity of happy customers.

Chlorella is a true superfood, providing a multitude of positive aspects that considerably outweigh the majority of foods.

Through the inclusion of chlorella to our diet, we have the possibility to heal and restore our bodies on many levels, including the basic cellular level.
