New model will feature powerful V8 engine

In 2012, a Genesis R-Spec model will be released as a sporty alternative to the original model and here at your favorite Hollywood, FL Hyundai dealer we are incredibly excited to share the details!
The 2012 Genesis R-Spec model will be powered by our new Tau 5.0-liter V8 engine that is mated to a Hyundai-developed eight-speed transmission. The powertrain will produce 429 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque making it our most powerful powertrain to hit the streets! The transmission adds two additional ratios to enhance acceleration, shifting smoothness and transmission efficiency by 6% over the former six-speed! The R-Spec can also boast suspension upgrades, larger brakes and recalibrated sport steering.

In addition to all this power, the Genesis R-Spec sedan will stand out visually. The sport sedan will have dark chrome headlight inserts and new badging inside and out. It will be offered in Black Noir, Titanium Gray, and Platinum Metallic exterior paint, with a black leather interior coming standard. The Genesis R-Spec will feature electronic stability control, eight airbags, electronic active head restraints, a lane departure warning system, parking sensors, and a backup camera to keep everyone safe and sound.
