Las Vegas, NV (prHWY.com) November 21, 2012 - The OMICS journal of Aeronautics & Aerospace Engineering talks about various facets of research in the aerospace technology and the aviation sector, including the advancements made in engineering that supports the overall machinery and infrastructure for air travel.

Aerospace engineering deals with the dynamics involved in manned missions to tread towards the outer space, and there have also been recent trends in commercial forms of spaceflight. Private space-flight concept is also being promoted by NASA through several programs.

Aircraft structures form the physical components that make an airplane, according to the principles of aeronautics. It deals with the motion of air with respect to the other objects in motion, such as the aircraft. The modern aviation is recorded to have started on November 21, 1783, with first untethered human flight that is lighter than air.

After the Second World War, private and commercial aviation gained momentum, while Beechcraft, Piper and Cessna expanded production of aircrafts. Synthetic vision and advent of the GPS and LED displays allowed pilots to navigate by viewing the terrain and nearby aircraft more easily.
The concept of modern aerospace evolved after George Cayley proposed a flying body with fixed wing and tails that would be vertical and horizontal. In 1981, space shuttle Columbia began as the first manned mission.

The space launch involves liftoff, the earliest part of the flight, which is of two modes. Rocket launch is the conventional method while the air-breathing jet engines are used in non-rocket launch. A non-rocket launch is not aided by chemical rockets, and an example of such a system is rocket sled launch.

The aircraft design process takes into consideration the target users, costs and the technical specification involved based on the specific type documentation. Fighter jets are designed for complicated manoeuvring while those for commercial purpose are meant to carry cargo payload or passengers.

The Global Geospace Science (GGS) Polar Satellite. Launched in February 1996 by NASA, remained in operations till 2008. It currently revolves in the orbit though currently inactive. The satellite was used to study aurora and magnetosphere.
The motion of aircraft propagates movement of air molecules, as compression and rarefaction of air is caused through a jet engine or propeller. The noise emanates from various systems, like the engine and other aircraft or payload systems. High velocity jet leaving the engine with shear layer instability results in ring vortices.

New requirements for lower jet noise are the latest in the research for the aeronautic industry. It is needed for people close to airports, flight paths and engine manufacturers. Various approaches have been proposed to overcome the hazards of noise pollution, substantial noise suppression is achieved as a form of optimal solution. The objective is achieved through noise control techniques such as noise mitigation.

OMICS journals are published under Open Access Policy, and the publication carries contributions by various authors on research in aeronautical engineering study. The articles accepted for the Aeronautics & Aerospace Engineering journal are reviewed beforehand by a team of editorial board members. The content of the journal can be distributed and translated into other languages.
The OMICS Publishing Group, based in the US, aims at sharing scientific knowledge by publication of research articles in journals, organizing international conferences, and developing eBooks for free availability of knowledge to the scientific learners and researchers -Journal of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering
